Sandbanks Peninsula Editorial

Sandbanks enjoys one of the more favourable coastal climates in the United Kingdom. It is not unusual for cloud to linger inland while the shoreline stays brighter. Checking a current forecast remains the best way to plan beach days, ferry crossings and harbour activities.

How to check conditions

The previous website embedded a Met Office component and noted that the nearest published weather point to Sandbanks was Lilliput, approximately one mile away. That third-party embed is no longer part of this rebuild. For live conditions, use a trusted forecast service such as the Met Office and select Sandbanks, Poole or Lilliput as available.

Sandbanks webcam

The former weather page advertised a Sandbanks webcam with the note “Webcam coming soon.” No live camera was available on the legacy site at the time of migration. A webcam feature remains a candidate for a later phase if a reliable, rights-cleared feed becomes available.
